“Drama has been a passion from a very early age, growing each day from a passion into a developing career. I studied at the Northern Academy of Television and Theatre, and trained in Musical Theatre at the Oldham College. While at Oldham College I studied Jazz and Contemporary dance which gave me a strong movement vocabulary, of which I continued to improve on as I progressed onto the performance degree at The University of Huddersfield.

While studying on the performance course I became a focused and confident all round actor and physical theatre artist; developing my understanding of actor training and gaining practical knowledge of small-scale touring. While studying my degree I met AbiCrayon; co-artistic director of 2Tour Theatre.  We developed a strong performance and devising relationship and began to formulate ideas for 2Tour Theatre.

Further training in digital and social media, from working and training with theOldham Coliseum Theatre on several digital based projects, grounds my ideas in new theatre technology. It is my plan in partnership with Abi Crayon, to develop physical theatre touring performance, while utilising modern technology and AV design to create youthful, vibrant and engaging theatre.”

I came from a dance background, performing since the age of ten and teaching from the age of fifteen. I thoroughly enjoyed both aspects and was keen to develop my skills with the theatre industry. I studied A levels in drama and dance and went on to study a BA honours in Performance where I met co-artistic director Paul Adams. Combining dance and drama for performances was an aspect that we both found intriguing working together on numerous projects and combining our skills.  Whilst studying, I have continued to teach freelancing for numerous companies and theatres, teaching dance and drama skills from adults to pre primary ages.

I progressed throughout my studies and choreographed and performed manyphysical theatre and movement based pieces for myself and my students.  As part of my degree me and Paul managed and toured two small scale theatre companies and I feel the next step and challenge I’m ready to embark on, is 2Tour Theatre. Combining my passion and commitment for the industry with my training and various skills I feel 2Tour Theatre will be an inspiring company for our young audiences to aspire to.”

Working alongside the River Tame and beautiful countryside 2Tour Theatre are placed within idyllic settings to produce fresh innovative productions. With both founders having backgrounds within dance, physical theatre and drama, 2Tour Theatre is bursting with the skills and determination to perform breathtaking theatre with a great story.

Touring to Colleges and Universities across the North West, 2Tour Theatre will be performing devised, movement based work accompanied by actor training workshops. The mill unit (2Tour Studios) will be our rehearsal studio for our productions to take shape, whilst also creating a great environment for both artistic directors to hold regular classes for the public to attend. With both company founders have strong backgrounds within creative arts facilitation, classes will be an excellent opportunity for students and children to work within the company’s performance styles.
